Playing in the cold - Olympus OM-D E-M5, Zuiko 75mm f1.8

When its dreary outside and the sky is overcast, isn't it that the best time to shoot in black and white?  Well I happen to believe so and during a recent photo workshop I captured several pictures that I thought would work particularly well when processed in black and white. Using the excellent Silver Efex Pro 2 from NIK Software, I was able to bring out the true essence of these images.

Working an area with a photo group is a lot of fun, and Blue Ridge Workshops is a great organization.  Elliot Stern and Brian Zwit are extremely knowledgable and a joy to photography with.  If you live in the Washington DC metropolitan area and are interested in participating in one of their great workshops I definitely recommend it.
