Bend Activewear Photo Shoot
Just recently finished another photo shoot, this time for a Yoga active wear company located in Ohio. The shoot took place over the course of two days in the sunny South Walton beach area of Florida. This area of Florida is known as the Emerald Coast, and for good reason, the beaches are some of the finest I have ever seen. The water is so clear and blue that it doesn't feel like you're in the US.
Since the shoot took two days, the first day was spent focusing on shots with a yoga instructor performing various poses in the amazing outdoor surroundings. The second day consisted of shooting two ladies around various points of interest for more life-style activity captures.
We had amazing weather both days, however it did get pretty hot, which definitely at times caused discomfort. At least the first day incorporated ocean shots, this gave us an opportunity to dip our feet in the water and enjoy a breeze.
My kit consisted of a total of three cameras, the excellent Fuji X-T1, the versatile Olympus OM-D E-M1 and one of my favorite carry everywhere cameras, the Fuji X-70. With the Fuji X-T1 kit I decided to take my favorite 14mm f/2.8 lens along with the awesome 56mm f/1.4, which I didn't end up using at all.
I rented the awesome 40-150mm f/2.8 lens and ended up using this almost 100% of the time. This lens performs beautifully and I now know I need to eventually add it to my full-time kit.
